E-Health: Integrating digital in health systems
The digital transformation of healthcare is no longer an option, but a necessity to achieving universal health coverage and building inclusive, resilient health systems.
In line with the WHO Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020–2025, Enabel works with governments, civil society and the private sector to ensure national ownership, interoperability, and sustainability of digital health solutions.
Spanning from strengthening national health information systems and insurance coverage, digitising medical records, setting up mobile payment systems and piloting AI-assisted diagnostics, Enabel delivered impactful results notably in Benin, Niger, Burundi, the DRC, Senegal and Uganda.
This position paper highlights how strategic efforts that combine technology, governance, capacity-building and citizen engagement can build robust digital health ecosystems.
