Enabel and Televic join forces to drive digital innovation

Press release

CEOs of Enabel and Televic holding the partnership agreement

Enabel, the Belgian agency for international cooperation, has signed a partnership agreement with Televic Group, a Belgian leader in high-end communication and education technologies.

This collaboration aims to enhance sustainable development through digital innovation, skills development, and inclusive education initiatives in countries where both organisations operate.

“This partnership underscores our commitment to building bridges between international cooperation and private sector innovation, in win-win partnerships,” says Jean Van Wetter, CEO of Enabel. “By aligning our international cooperation goals with Televic’s technological expertise, we can help accelerate digital transformation and job creation in partner countries.”

And Lieven Danneels, co-CEO of Televic, to add: “Innovation cannot rely on technology alone – it’s driven by people and partnerships that make it a reality. With this partnership, we get the best of both. By combining Televic’s expertise in technology with Enabel’s on-the-ground impact, we can drive meaningful progress in education. Ultimately, this leads to better outcomes for learners, local communities, and the customers we serve.”

Enabel and Televic will exchange knowledge and expertise, and launch joint initiatives in areas such as upskilling teacher training, improving education in low-connectivity environments, and aligning vocational training with labour market needs—particularly in remote and underserved regions. Where possible, the agency and Televic will share information and networks and communicate jointly on specific projects.

The partnership will also explore synergies within the EU’s Global Gateway strategy, with a focus on developing sustainable transport infrastructure and vocational training programmes – particularly in the railway sector – that enhance connectivity, regional integration, and economic opportunities.
