Activity report 2024 – 2025

These are unprecedented, pivotal and paradoxical times. While the need for international cooperation in a globalised world has never been greater, most of the countries that have traditionally been in favour of the global solidarity system are questioning that system. Several countries cut their budgets in a way unprecedented in the history of international cooperation. In such a context, we have to both resist and reinvent ourselves.
Our 2024-2025 Activity Report offers a selection of themes, events and achievements of the past year that continue to inspire our work in 2025.
This includes reconstruction in Ukraine and Gaza and how we can ensure that this is done with a view to the future. Because the future is now. What we do today, also in conflict zones, will be decisive for tomorrow’s peace and security. This also applies to fighting desertification, science at the service of the climate, skills mobility and entrepreneurship, as well as the vital need for private sector partnerships.
We interviewed Joseph Nganga, Special Envoy for Mission 300, on climate finance and how it can unlock Africa’s potential in energy, infrastructure and green industrialisation. Francesca Di Mauro, the European Union’s Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, discusses the importance of partnerships between the EU, its Member States and Enabel in strengthening Côte d’Ivoire’s economy. Finally, Gargee Ghosh, President of Global Policy & Advocacy at the Gates Foundation, explains how our collaboration strengthens health systems and fosters innovative solutions.
